In one sentence: If the only difference between two pages is the city name, Google won’t index them. The fix is one unique data point per page.
The sign you have thin content
In Google Search Console, under Page Coverage, you see many URLs under "Crawled – currently not indexed". Google found them, read them… and decided they don’t add anything new. This is the classic symptom of poorly executed programmatic SEO.
The minimum threshold for indexing
A page passes the threshold when it has, at minimum:
- one unique, verifiable data point (a real price, an official statistic with a source, a ranking, a time-bound data point with a date), and
- two specific FAQs for that combination—not generic ones that could appear on any other page on the site.
What counts as a unique data point
- Real price paid by actual users (first-party data).
- Official statistic with source and date (DNRPA, INDEC, land registry, etc.).
- A verifiable ranking or position ("3rd most registered model in [province] 2025").
- A specific time-bound data point ("updated as of [month/year]").
The example that says it all
Bad (generic): "In Córdoba, you can hire our service. We offer the best options at competitive prices."
Good (unique data + context): "The Fiat Cronos is the most registered car in Córdoba: 2,847 units in 2025, 14% of the provincial total. With an official value of $X, the intermediate coverage competes in price with the real risk."
Google indexes the second page. The first, it doesn’t.
The operational rule
Generate content by dimension with AI if you want—it’s efficient—but anchor each page in real data. AI writes; the data provides authority. Without data, don’t publish that combination.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does AI generate thin content? If used alone, yes. When anchored in a real, verifiable data point per page, no: AI writes, and the data supports authority.
How many FAQs do I need per page? At least two, specific to that combination. Generic ones don’t count.
What do I do with pages already "not indexed"? Add a unique data point + specific FAQs, improve internal linking, and resubmit them for inspection in GSC.
